Very strong and powerful piece of art!

Cedar Bark Portrait Mask by late Ernie Henderson, son of Chief Sam Henderson from the Kwakiulth First Nations of Vancouver Island, Canada's Pacific Northwest Coast.

signed, hand carved, solid red cedar, adorned with the traditional cedar bark (minor loss on the bark, please have a close look, it shows it's age). This mask is carved in great detail with great expression by a master of this art from the early 80's. Great condition, one small and stabilized hairline in lower lip, nothing unusual in older pieces and non-threatening.

The painting is clean, the mask is polished, Ernie used traditional colors. Just a fabulous addition to any native Art collection

Measurements: 12" x 8" x 7"
