DIVING SALMON, red cedar sculpture, 4 ft long
incredibly clean and deep carving, the salmon is carved out of a solid piece of 2.5" thick cedar wood, mounted on a professionally and especially for this piece crafted wooden frame.
The carving is dated 1986 and made by the Kwakiulth First Nations Master carver George Hunt Jr. - please take the time to read the artist's biography which is provided below - it's quite impressive!!!
