WOLF and Mother MOON – on old growth red cedar, designed and hand carved by Indigenous artist Clayton Albany, a member of the Lekwungen/Songhees First Nation, living on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada’s Pacific Northwest Coast, with Relations to the Salish and Nuuh-chah-nulth. 

It's always a pleasure meeting this energetic and clearly very talented emerging artist. He already has developed his very own style. Clay used a thick, solid piece of old growth red cedar for this beautiful piece of art. Carving lines are very deep and the painting is kept in a very soft color (blue-gray), washed so you can still see the grain of the cedar coming through. The edges are left natural, this is a very thick and solid piece of wood. It’s polished and signed at the back. Made and prepared for wall hanging. As always, guaranteed authentic and coming directly from the artist.
