Brad Joseph Jr. - a very talented Indigenous artist from the Squamish (Coast Salish) Nation just brought us another new piece of art.
Chief and Wife on Spirit Eagle feather on red cedar - incredibly detailed carving!!! Superb craftsmanship, please have a close look to appreciate the work Brad put into it. So many little pieces of copper inlays. It took a lot of time!!!
What a wonderful piece. Fully hand carved, please check out all the details in the feather, the carving and expressions, marvelous. Clean painting, still showing the beautiful cedar. It's carved on one side, signature at the back. So much love and many hours of work went into this piece.
Measurements: 28" x 5 1/2" x 3/4"
Meaning: Eagles mate for life and are therefore also seen as a symbol of lasting love and dedication. It is told that the Eagle end their own life in despair when the mate is lost. Eagle feathers are used in the most important ceremonies, a display of respect, courage, Chieftainship and wisdom.
