Butterfly Man holding Flower

wall art carving by Indigenous artist Jackson Robertson, a member of the Kwakwaka'wakw Nation from Kingcome Inlet, BC.

Fully hand carved, stained, and polished. Marvelous carving lines. The expression is so strong, really powerful. Jackson loves to use this dark stain, when polished it really brings out the grain in the cedar. Superb quality of carving - you don't see these often! This is not a new piece, but in excellent condition, carved in front, signed at the back, made for wall hanging, hanger already attached

Measurements: 25" x 10" x 1"

Meaning: The butterfly is a symbol of change, joy and color. The butterfly is considered a miracle of transformation and resurrection.
