Very powerful piece! Strong expression and superb craftsmanship

RAVEN MASK

hand carved, hand painted and designed by Kwakiulth First Nation artist Jonathan Jacobson from Vancouver Island, Pacific Northwest Coast of Canada. The quality of this mask is truly amazing!! It's inlaid with large pieces of Abalone, very clean and deep carving lines, vibrant colors. Solid red cedar. The beak is articulated and makes a great clapping sound.

The Raven itself is adorned with cedar rope and cedar bark - lots of it!!! The mask is standing on a natural wooden base. Just a fabulous piece all around, it has everything you could be looking for in an authentic piece of Indigenous art. The mask is signed on the inside.

Measurements: 41" height in stand, the raven head itself (without the decoration) is 25" x 10" x 6".
